Northern Trust (NASDAQ: NTRS) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter profit.
Northern Trust’s quarterly profit surged to $167.7 million, or $0.69 per share, versus $130.2 million, or $0.53 per share, in the year-earlier period.
Its consolidated revenue climbed 1% to $969.7 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.75 per share on revenue of $986 million.
Northern Trust shares closed at $52.81 yesterday.
