“LINE-X products are well known for protecting against the harshest elements in the most extreme conditions and we were thrilled to work with Dr. Taylor and his team on this project,” said Kevin Heronimus
“LINE-X is one of the strongest materials that you can put on a bedliner of a truck and you dump rocks and all sorts of stuff in there and never bothers it. You wouldn’t ever tear it, or scratch it and it would never come apart,” said Dr. Travis Taylor
The episode features Dr. Taylor and his family putting the LINE-X coated full body flak jacket to the test, from defending against ammunition rounds to a civilian boot camp training regimen. Not only does the LINE-X reinforced full body suit protect against the artillery fire, it is also lightweight, weighing in at only 40 lbs, where as traditional military-issued jackets weigh in at the same, but only protect the torso. As final evidence that the LINE-X coated body armor is lightweight and mobile, Dr. Taylor wore the suit while running a complete Marine Corps marathon in October of 2012.
