Bank of Georgia Holdings plc (BGEO.L), the holding company of JSC Bank of Georgia and its subsidiaries, said its profit for the fourth quarter rose to GEL 46.87 million from GEL 34.35 million in the year-ago quarter. On a per share basis, earnings increased to GEL 1.33 from GEL 1.03 last year.
For the quarter, profit before income tax expense totaled GEL 54 million, higher than last year’s GEL 43.1 million.
For the last quarter of the year 2012, revenues amounted to GEL 128.28 million, up from GEL 115.4 milion for the same quarter of last year. Interest income for the quarter rose to GEL 146.94 million from GEL 133.41 million.
