German steel and metal products distributor Klöckner & Co was notified yesterday that Interfer Holding GmbH, a portfolio company of the Dr. Albrecht Knauf family, purchased 7.8 million ordinary shares in Klöckner & Co SE. This represents 7.82% of the total share capital.
According to Interfer, the stake in Klöckner & Co represents a strategic investment. Klöckner & Co said it sees itself strategically well positioned and has recovered from the temporary economic weakness, supported by a comprehensive restructuring program, also reflected in recent months’ share price performance.
