It’s said after 16 hours of negotiations Greece surrendered to bailout terms.
But some members of the EU aren’t happy with it. The troika they receives Greek assets (banks, airlines and other state owned assets) and Greece gets its third bailout, this time $50 billion. Further once Greeks see the terms of the deal they’ll no doubt take to streets once again furious with Tsipras’s cave-in to demands. The current Greek government will likely not survive given the previous “no vote” and who knows if Greeks ultimately accept these humiliating terms.
So is this now all behind us? That’s as unlikely as were the prior agreements. So this is only a temporary reprieve.
