Apple store workers in Maryland vote to form first U.S. union

Employees at the Apple sore in Towson, Maryland voted on Saturday to form a union, becoming the first unionized Apple store in the U.S. “We did it Towson! We won our union vote! Thanks to all who worked so hard and all who supported! Now we celebrate with @machinistsunion. Tomorrow we keep organizing,” said acoreunion via Twitter. The tally was 65 votes in favor and 33 opposed, according to CNBC. Approximately 110 employees were eligible to vote to join the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
