In the second to last issue of Xbox World, Microsoft will reveal details on the forthcoming Xbox 720 in an eight-page spread on the gaming console. The issue hits newsstands in December.
“Xbox World has been at the cutting edge of Durango [code name for the 720] coverage for over 12 months,” Editor-in-Chief Dan Dawkins told CVG. “Unless something really dramatic changes, everything we reveal in our penultimate issue will be revealed long before E3 in June.”
The mag says that the console will feature 8GB of RAM and a processor packing four hardware cores each divided into “four logical cores.” There is also confirmation of a Blu-ray drive, and a second generation Kinect system.
Other highlights include TV-in and-out, a new gamepad and augmented reality complete with supporting glasses. In other news, it has been rumored that the new Xbox will not be the 720, but simply Xbox.
