Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is hosting a New Year’s Party on the Caribbean island of St. Barts and has put Kings of Leon on the bill of performers.
According to reports, KOL was not the first choice for Abramovich—he was rumored to have originally booked Rihanna for the gig.
The boys will entertain a guest list of about 400, rocking out in a huge tent on Abramovich’s 70-acre estate at Gouverneur Beach.
According to the New York Post, he is flying in the band, their entourage and their wives. The KOL clan is blossoming as drummer Nathan Followill and musician Jessie Baylin welcomed their first child this week, and singer Caleb Followill has a child with Victoria’s Secret beauty Lily Aldridge.
