Japan’s economy watchers’ assessment of the current as well as future economic conditions improved more than expected in December, a survey showed Friday.
According to Eco Watchers’ survey from the Cabinet Office, the indicator reflecting assessment of the current economic situation climbed to 45.8 in December from 40 a month ago. The reading was expected to climb to 40.8.
At the same time, the outlook index that reflects the assessment of future economic situation in Japan rose to 51 from 41.9 in the previous month. The expected reading was 42.5.
