Sohu.com Inc. (SOHU: Quote) announced certain management changes and the creation of the new role of chief information officer at its online game unit, Changyou.com Ltd. (CYOU: Quote) to support Changyou’s strategic initiatives.
Xiaojian Hong, the former chief technology officer of Changyou, has assumed the chief operating officer role of Changyou from Dewen Chen, and would head the game development and game operations functions. Dewen Chen continues his position as Changyou’s president, and would focus on corporate strategic planning and lead the organizational management function.
Further, Changyou has created the new chief information officer position to lead Changyou’s strategy implementation efforts and development of overall project management systems. Changyou has named Wendy Pan to this new role, effective January 7, 2013. Pan, with extensive experience in both areas, would directly report to Dewen Chen.
