Slovakia’s industrial production slowed for the fourth consecutive month in November, data from the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic showed on Friday.
Industrial output grew a working-day adjusted 5.2 percent year-on-year in November, after advancing 8.1 percent in October. The pace of growth has been slowing since August, after a peak of 18.6 percent in July.
Manufacturing production rose 6.3 percent, while output decreased 1.2 percent in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply sector. Mining and quarrying output contracted by 4.6 percent.
Sequentially, industrial production fell by a seasonally adjusted 1.8 percent in November. For the eleven months ended November, industrial output grew by 11.5 percent from the previous year.
Separately, the statistical agency said the construction output fell 13.4 percent year-on-year in November after declining 11 percent in October.
On a monthly basis, construction output fell by seasonally adjusted 0.4 percent.
