FLSmidth (FLIDF.PK) Friday said it has received a contract from Vale to supply Material Handling and Mineral Processing equipment for Vale’s Moatize coal mine in the Tete Province of Mozambique.
The contract is being valued at approximately $112 million, or 658 million Danish krone.
Under the terms of agreement, FLSmidth will do design, detailing, fabrication, supply, delivery to site, supervision of erection and commissioning along with start-up assistance.
The material handling equipment includes a crushing plant as well as in-plant and stockyard conveyors.
FLSmidth will also supply a complete conveyor system with all components, transfer towers, silos, chutes, magnets, belt scales, lubrication system, skirts and support.
FLSmidth has previously delivered a crushing plant and filters for the first phase of the Moatize mine along with a contract for supply of equipment for Vale’s Nacala Port expansion. The current project will double Vale’s production capacity at the mine.
