Green Valley International Investment Management Co. Ltd. or GVI, a Hong Kong registered corporation, said it will make a $7 million strategic investment in U.S.-based nanotechnology company Dais Analytic Corp. (DLYT).
Under a securities purchase agreement entered into the last quarter of 2012, GVI is buying 70 million shares of Tampa, Florida-based Dais’s common stock, and warrants to buy 17.50 million shares of common stock, for $7 million.
On funding completion, Dais intends to set up a wholly-owned Chinese subsidiary, DLYTC, from which it will begin selling its nanotechnology based products into the China market. The products will be based on the company’s Aqualyte family of Nano-materials and process.
Simultaneously, GVI and the Dais China subsidiary plan to begin limited deployment in 2013 of a non-Reverse Osmosis method of treating most all forms of contaminated water. This process is called NanoClear.
