US Bancorp (NYSE: USB) reported a rise in its fourth-quarter net income.
US Bancorp’s quarterly profit surged to $1.35 billion, or $0.72 per share, versus $1.31 billion, or $0.69 per share, in the year-ago quarter.
Analysts were expecting a profit of $0.74 per share for the quarter. Its revenue from interest on loans climbed 4.1%.
US Bancorp shares closed at $33.28 yesterday.
