Home BancShares Inc.’s (HOMB: Quote) fourth-quarter 2012 net income grew to $16.9 million, or $0.60 per share, from $14.2 million, or $0.50 per share in the 2011 period.
As acquisitions are growth and capital management strategies, earnings before amortization of intangibles after-tax are useful in evaluating the company. Excluding intangible amortization, quarterly earnings per share were $0.62, an increase, compared with last year’s $0.51.
Net interest income for the latest quarter went up 16.9% to $41.3 million, from $35.3 million during the fourth quarter of 2011.
