Production has reportedly commenced on the film adaptation of Stephen Belber’s hit Broadway play “Match.” Belber penned the screenplay and will direct the film, which will star Patrick Stewart, Carla Gugino and Matthew Lillard.
The story centers on a former choreographer and Julliard dance instructor, Tobi, who receives a visit from a young couple from Seattle. The couple first claim that they are visiting to interview Tobi but their true intentions are later revealed.
The play originally opened in 2004 and starred Frank Langella as Tobi, with Ray Liotta as Mike and Jane Adams as Lisa. The original production landed Langella a Tony for his performance.
