Research In Motion’s (RIMM: Quote) CEO Thorsten Heins told a German newspaper that the company is considering strategic alliances with other companies after its BlackBerry 10 launches. The company is also considering the sale of its hardware production unit.
Research In Motion gapped up sharply Tuesday and climbed in early trade, before settling into a range. The stock advanced further going into the close and finished up by 2.06 at $17.90 on strong volume. RIMM has been rising for the last week and a half and set a new high for the year.
