MAP Pharmaceuticals Inc. (MAPP: Quote) announced after the close Tuesday that it agreed to be acquired by Allergan Inc. (AGN: Quote) for $25.00 per share. The acquisition is expected to close late in the first quarter or in the second quarter of 2013. MAP Pharmaceuticals gapped open dramatically higher Wednesday and is now up 9.15 at $24.73 on the highest volume of the year. The stock has leaped to a new high for the year.
