Fissures on the right-wing are turning into fault lines in the wake of last year’s contentious GOP primary and subsequent landslide victory by Democratic President Barack Obama.
Roger Ailes, the mastermind of Fox News programming, lashed out at perennial Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich in a Vanity Fair interview released Wednesday.
Among other insults, Fox News chief Ailes says Gingrich is “a sore loser and if he had won he would have been a sore winner.”
The article says Gingrich complained that Fox News’s support for Mitt Romney was responsible for Gingrich’s poor showing after an early win in South Carolina.
Ailes’ response: “Newt’s a pr*ck.”
