Sprint (NYSE: S) said recently that it has no plans to carry the Z10 smartphone from BlackBerry (Nasdaq: BBRY), which runs the new BB10 operating system. But, Sprint didn’t say it would never carry a full-touch BlackBerry device.
According to AllThingsD, Sprint might start slinging the successor to the Z10 later this year. ATD notes that the new device would be a follow-on to the Z10, which will be sold by Verizon (NYSE: VZ) and AT&T (NYSE: T).
Launch of the Z11 (?) won’t be until the second-half of 2013.
Following a solid 14 percent gain Monday, BlackBerry is slightly higher in after-hours trading.
