) – Solmar Development Corp. was honoured as a Caledon Community Champion at the Caledon Community Services (CCS) Annual General Meeting for their donation to The Exchange. When completed it will be a community hub designed to bring those with limited income and the privileged together around food, nutrition and innovative programs, eliminating the stigma and stereotypes associated with poverty.
“Solmar is touched by the recognition provided by CCS, and we are truly inspired by what they will accomplish,” says Giuseppe Paolicelli, General Manager, Solmar, who donated all the building services to construct a design created by world-class architect, Johnson Chou. “We commend CCS and their volunteers for bringing their hard work and dedication to the Caledon Community and we look forward to completing this exciting project in partnership with CCS.”
Solmar Development Corp. was honoured along with 5 other prominent Caledon based businesses including Garden Foods Ltd., Mars Canada, The Beldofe Foundation, Town of Caledon Council and Virginia Yule & David Roth.The Exchange is the place that will improve the lives of everyone through volunteerism and active community outreach, and bring everyone together around access to food, nutrition, cooking and enjoyment of community.
“The Exchange is a true testament to our commitment of creating complete communities,” says Paolicelli, who anticipates the building by summer’s end.
