Inovio ripping to a new higher today after the company announced peer-reviewed publication of results from two phase I trials (HVTN 070 and HVTN 080) of its PENNVAX-B preventive HIV DNA vaccine delivered with a DNA adjuvant and with or without Inovio’s proprietary CELLECTRA electroporation delivery device. According to the results, Inovio’s HIV DNA vaccine together with the CELLECTRA device significantly increased the number of responders producing robust and durable CD4 and CD8 T-cell responses in humans.
Hewlett-Packard (NYSE: HPQ) $26.70. Hewlett-Packard up today as Citi upgraded the stock two-notches from Sell to Buy, while doubling its price target to $32.
Allscripts Healthcare Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: MDRX) $14.74. Allscripts announced preliminary sales results for the second quarter of 2013. Allscripts expects bookings to exceed $200 million for the three months ended June 30, 2013. This compares positively with bookings of approximately $194 million for the second quarter of 2012 and approximately $178 million for the first quarter of 2013, respectively. Wells Fargo also commented on the development.
Danaher Corp. (NYSE: DHR) $67.94. Analysts positive as Danaher issued better guidance into recent analyst meetings. William Blair commented on the event today. Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE: NEM) $26.47. Newmont received another downgrade today as CIBC cut its rating on the miner from Sector Perform to Sector Underperform.
