The Apple launch is now in the rear view mirror. Strangely after the “oohs & aahs” and even some saying the new product release was “magical” now we’re already seeing the iPhone 6 price being discounted by various retailers. The stock rose yesterday in the after-glow of the announcement but now its weaker to flat Wednesday.
Markets globally are a mess with only some scattered gains in the U.S. but declines in Europe and emerging markets. Bond markets were relatively stable after a successful 30-year Treasury auction. The dollar was flat but gold prices are still falling along with most commodities with the exception of crude oil which rose from its death bed.
The primary economic report was a worse than expected Jobless Claims report with 315K
