Never mind the outstanding performance that long-term U.S. Treasury ETFs (NYSEARCA:TMF) delivered last year, ETF investors are bailing on bonds.

The latest data on ETF asset flows show that five bond funds are among the top 10 ETFs with money leaving. Among this group are three U.S. Treasury focused ETFs, including the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:TLT) and iShares 3-7 Year Treasury Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:IEI).
Rate sensitive industry sectors like utilities (NYSEARCA:XLU) are see large outflows too.
The iShares 7-10 Year Treasury Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:IEF) experienced the highest outflows among all U.S. listed fixed income ETFs with $884 million exiting the fund.
Is this just the beginning of the Great Bond Exodus?
