Germany’s Angela Merkel has given Greece and the troika that a deal must be reached before markets open Monday once again (sigh).
After Greece’s Tsipras told the EU’s Tusk that this “wasn’t a game” Tusk reportedly said it was “game over”.
The EUs Dijsselbloem said a deal must be done by Saturday. Should the end of this “deal or no deal” madness end in default worries in the U.S. exist that Russia would use the occasion to step in.
Would this mean the U.S. would step in and help with a bailout? If it did, a lot of people, at least those few citizens paying attention away from their iPhones, would be pissed-off.
