Barclays analyst Blayne Curtis upgraded Nvidia to Overweight from Equal Weight and raised his price target for the shares to $280 from $265. The stock closed yesterday down 83c to $226.31. After taking a clean look at the artificial intelligence landscape, Nvidia is an Overweight, Curtis tells investors in a research note. The analyst sees a “strong” gaming/Volta cycle ahead, which he thinks should help mitigate any near-term crypto risks. Further, his work suggests Nvidia’s artificial intelligence franchise is more durable in the Data Center with some edge opportunities in autos and robots, where he believes the company “brings an unparalleled scale.”
