Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) bought an additional 75M shares of Apple (AAPL) in the first quarter, CNBC’s Becky Quick reports, citing Buffett. Berkshire already owned 165.3M shares of the iPhone maker at the end of 2017. “It is an unbelievable company,” Buffett told Quick. “If you look at Apple, I think it earns almost twice as much as the second most profitable company in the United States.” Berkshire Hathaway holds its annual shareholders meeting in Omaha this weekend. Apple in premarket trading is up 86c to $177.75.
