Versum Materials (VSM) and Entegris (ENTG) are nearing agreement on a stock-for-stock merger that could be announced Monday, people familiar with the matter tell The Wall Street Journal. Entegris CEO Bertrand Loy is expected to be CEO of the new company, while Versum Chairman Seifollah Ghasemi, who is also the chairman and CEO of Air Products (APD), would be chairman, according to the report. Under the terms being discussed, Versum shareholders are expected to own about 47.5% of the new company.
