Facebook (FB) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at UBS with analyst Eric Sheridan saying while 2019 remains a year of transition, Facebook management has now produced multiple quarters of better than expected revenue and earnings. 2. American Express (AXP) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley with analyst Betsy Graseck saying she believes its strong revenue growth remains intact given its record growth in proprietary cards, strong contribution from Millennials, fee-based products and its strong loan and transactional growth. 3. Novartis (NVS) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Guggenheim with analyst Seamus Fernandez saying he is more confident that the company “can deliver several years of mid-single digit operating profit and EPS growth” through 2024. 4. Sirius XM (SIRI) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Pivotal Research with analyst Jeffrey Wlodarczak saying yesterday’s post-earnings selloff was overdone as investors overreacted to slightly lower than expected new car installations and modestly lower than expected self-pay net subscriber additions. 5. General Dynamics (GD) upgraded to Neutral from Underweight at JPMorgan with analyst Seth Seifman saying General Dynamics has underperformed the market by~21% since the start of 2018.
