Shares of Whiting Petroleum are sinking after Debtwire, according to Bloomberg, reported that the company is holding discussions with advisory shops to look at its capital structure. Whiting is looking at a potential “up-tiering exchange”: Debtwire said, citing bankers, investors and an analyst familiar with the matter, Bloomberg noted. Shares of Whiting Petroleum are down 42%, or $1.56, to $2.15 in midday trading.
