The U.S. Rig Count is down 695 rigs from last year’s count of 946, with oil rigs down 595, gas rigs down 101, and miscellaneous rigs up 1 to 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 12 and down 13 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is up 10 rigs from last week to 42, with oil rigs up 4 to 10 and gas rigs up 6 to 32. The Canada Rig Count is down 85 rigs from last year’s count of 127, with oil rigs down 75 and gas rigs down 10.
