FedEx (FDX) upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Bernstein with analyst David Vernon saying he expects the company to deliver results better than consensus expectations on better residential pricing, continued strength in Express and air cargo rates, and an inflection in ground margins. 3. Consolidated Edison (ED) upgraded to Neutral from Underperform at Credit Suisse with analyst Michael Weinstein saying even considering the company’s “tough” three-year rate deal in NYC, he sees the stock as fairly valued at current levels. 4. Pinterest (PINS) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley with analyst Brian Nowak, who sees “social online malls” such as those operated by Pinterest and Facebook (FB) becoming even more important touchpoints in an environment of changing consumer behavior and accelerating e-commerce and social shopping, saying he views Pinterest as “the purest play on this trend.” 5. Adient (ADNT) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Benchmark with analyst Michael Ward saying the combination of improving sales and the need to replenish inventory in North America, Europe and China will create a tailwind for the Supplier Group heading into 2021.
