PepsiCo (PEP) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Citi with analyst Wendy Nicholson saying PepsiCo’s earnings growth can accelerate in 2021, and its relative multiple can “expand considerably from current levels.” 3. Levi Strauss (LEVI) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Morgan Stanley with analyst Kimberly Greenberger saying following the “impressive revenue acceleration” posted by the company in its fiscal third quarter report, she is positive on Levi’s accelerated margin expansion, driven by channel and geographic mix shifts as well as cost cutting and higher average unit revenues. 4. Ruth’s Hospitality (RUTH) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Stephens with analyst James Rutherford saying he believes the risk of unit closures and the lagging recovery of business/private dining are headwinds that are now well understood. 5. Ford (F) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Benchmark with analyst Michael Ward saying the new management team, and better than expected third quarter earnings, should provide a near-term catalyst for the shares.
