Fly Intel: Top five analyst upgrades

Catch up on today’s top five analyst upgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. Ralph Lauren (RL) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Citi with analyst Paul Lejuez saying Ralph is “making the right moves” to upscale the brand while cutting a meaningful amount out of its expense base. 2. CommScope (COMM) upgraded to Overweight from Neutral at JPMorgan with analyst Samik Chatterjee saying the company will benefit from a ramp in investments towards 5G infrastructure densification in 2021 as customer priorities increasingly focus on wireless investments. 3. Equifax (EFX) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Stifel with analyst Shlomo Rosenbaum saying he thinks shares will start to exit the “valuation penalty box” they have been in since the company’s cybersecurity breach in 2017, adding that he sees Equifax having “a state of the art technology platform” and product set that will be largely cloud native over the near term. 4. AutoZone (AZO) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Jefferies with analyst Bret Jordan saying he points to AutoZone’s ability to take share from smaller competitors in the faster-growing commercial, or “do-if-for-me,” segment as key to long-term sales growth. 5. Scotts Miracle-Gro (SMG) upgraded to Strong Buy from Outperform at Raymond James with analyst Joseph Altobello citing the view that the stock offers compelling value on a sum-of-the-parts basis, particularly now that Hydrofarm (HYFM) is a relevant publicly-traded comparable for its fast growing Hawthorne hydroponics business.
