Pinduoduo (PDD) upgraded to Buy from Hold at China Renaissance with analyst Charlie Chen believing moderating growth is already priced into Pinduoduo shares and that the recent correction is overdone. 3. ViacomCBS (VIAC) upgraded to Hold from Sell at Deutsche Bank with analyst Bryan Kraft saying the shares have returned to a “more reasonable” valuation level. 4. Spirit AeroSystems (SPR) double upgraded to Buy from Underperform at BofA with analyst Ronald Epstein saying after the dual crisis of the MAX and COVID, Spirit has focused on restructuring, improving its liquidity profile, implementing productivity and efficiency projects and diversifying. 5. American Water (AWK) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Argus with analyst John Staszak saying the company has significant opportunities to acquire smaller and less efficient utilities while also benefiting from rate increases and from the management’s efforts to lower operating and maintenance costs as a percentage of revenue, the analyst told investors in a research note.
