Tesla (TSLA) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Jefferies with analyst Philippe Houchois saying looking into 2022, he sees higher global battery electric demand, more battery and assembly capacity coming on stream, a broader and “mix-accretive” model line-up with more Model Ys and the new S and “still no legacy issue to contend with,” all of which given Tesla accelerating earnings leverage. 2. Editas Medicine (EDIT) upgraded to Buy from Hold at Truist with analyst Joon Lee citing potential value drivers in expectations for the company to close its valuation gap relative to its peers over the next 12-18 months, stating that its upcoming EDIT-101 data could show signs of efficacy and also noting that its “Broad” group’s Senior Party position in ongoing CRISPR-Cas9 U.S. patent litigation could put Editas at an advantage in the U.S. 4. Brookfield Infrastructure (BIPC) upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Wells Fargo with analyst Jonathan Reeder citing his increased confidence in his 10%-plus FFO per unit/share CAGR following Brookfield Infrastructure’s Q2 update, the high likelihood that the IPL acquisition closes in the weeks ahead and, most notably, the recent pullback in Brookfield Infrastructure’s relative premium. 5. Caesars (CZR) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at BofA with analyst Shaun Kelley citing the recent data and the anticipated catalysts while noting that the backdrop for longer-term growth favors domestic names and digital gaming over international and Macau exposure.
