BlackBerry (BB) upgraded to Hold from Sell at Canaccord with analyst T. Michael Walkley seeing “levers for future growth” within BlackBerry’s cybersecurity business as the company looks to take share in endpoint security. 3. Veoneer (VNE) upgraded to Neutral from Underperform at Credit Suisse with analyst Dan Levy saying the rating and target assume Veoneer proceeds with Qualcomm’s (QCOM) current takeover offer of $37 per share. 4. Wendy’s (WEN) upgraded to Outperform from Perform at Oppenheimer with analyst Brian Bittner believing the company has discovered “powerful tools” to unlock unit growth starting in 2022, which appears underestimated by consensus and underappreciated by the stock’s 18% valuation discount to peers. 5. Centennial Resource Development (CDEV) upgraded to Market Perform from Underperform at Cowen with analyst Gabriel Daoud usaying a better oil price environment “has no doubt represented a panacea” for Centennial Resource, which “has embraced maintenance mode” with a focus on free cash flow to fix the balance sheet.
