Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. rig count is up 3 from last week to 613 with oil rigs up 2 to 497, gas up 1 to 116, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 0. The U.S. Rig Count is up 221 rigs from last year’s count of 392 with oil rigs up 198 gas rigs up 24 and miscellaneous rigs down 1. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 2 to 16, unchanged year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is up 1 from last week to 218, with oil rigs up 1 to 136, gas rigs unchanged at 82. The Canada Rig Count is up 47 rigs from last year’s count of 171, with oil rigs up 41, gas rigs up 6.
