Baird analyst David George says investor sentiment toward card stocks and other credit sensitive financials has deteriorated along with the broader market amid macro fears and worries regarding auto, inflation and a potential recession. With Capital One trading at valuation levels not seen other than during the pandemic, the stock “represents excellent value here,” George tells investors in a research note. The analyst sees fairly limited downside and believes the company’s normalized earnings per share power of $14-$15 remains intact. He keeps an Outperform rating on Capital One with a $130 price target and added the stock as a “Bullish Fresh Pick.”
