Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD) has reported that its profit dipped 1.2% to $737.4 million U.S. during its fiscal third quarter ended January 29 of this year.
The Laval, Quebec-based operator of convenience stores said its earnings per share in the quarter amounted to $0.73 U.S., up 4% from $0.70 U.S. a year earlier.
Revenues in the quarter totaled $20 billion U.S., up 8% from a year ago.
Alimentation Couche-Tard said the translation of foreign currencies into U.S. dollars had a net negative impact on its earnings of $28 million U.S.
The company added that its earnings for its current fiscal year are up nearly 10% from a year earlier at $2.2 billion U.S.
Alimentation Couche-Tard’s stock is up 20% over the past year at $60.94 per share.
