Baker Hughes reports U.S. rig count up 2 to 755 rigs

Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. rig count is up 2 from last week to 755 with oil rigs unchanged at 591, gas rigs up 2 to 161 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3. The U.S. Rig Count is up 57 rigs from last year’s count of 698 with oil rigs up 39, gas rigs up 17 and miscellaneous up 1. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is unchanged at 20, up 6 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is down 12 from last week to 93, with oil rigs down 6 to 36, gas rigs down 6 to 57. The Canada Rig Count is down 2 rigs from last year’s count of 95 with oil down 9, gas rigs up 7.
