Shares on a Tear After Interception of Multiple Drill Shows Promise for Lithium

Discovering new lithium deposits is crucial, given the metal’s use in the renewables market. And this company is showing promise of a new discovery at its property located in Quebec.

Junior miner Q2 Metals Corp. (TSXV: QTWO) (OTCQB: QUEXF) announced in a press release today an update from its 2024 exploration program at the Cisco Lithium Property located in the James Bay region of Quebec, Canada. Q2 Metals is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on unlocking its portfolio of lithium projects in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of Quebec, Canada, that includes both its 100-per-cent-owned Mia Lithium Property and the Cisco Lithium Property.

Q2 Metals started drilling at their Cisco Lithium Property in Quebec last month to learn more about a promising lithium area previously explored by others. Today’s press release stated that Q2 has completed 4 holes totaling over 1000 meters and found wide sections of rock with spodumene, a lithium-containing mineral, in all of them.

The positive news on the potential for lithium is sending Canadian shares up over 20 percent in heavy, late morning trade; U.S. shares were trading up over 30 percent.
