Nokia (NOK) is exploring a potential acquisition of Infinera (INFN) and has been studying the feasibility of a deal, Liana Baker, Ryan Gould, Michelle F. Davis and Jillian Deutsch of Bloomberg report, citing people familiar with the matter said. An announcement could come within days, sources told Bloomberg. Deliberations are ongoing and there’s no certainty they’ll result in a deal, the people said. Shares of Infinera jumped 21% to $6.40 in after-hours trading following the report while Nokia is down 3% to $3.62.
