Essilor International SA (ESLOY.PK,ESLOF.PK) Friday announced acquisition of 68.3 percent of the capital of Interactif Visuel Systeme, or IVS.
IVS designs and sells ophthalmic measurement solutions, under the brand name, Activisu. IVS’ products also includes the Visioffice measuring column, designed jointly with Essilor.
With IVS’ technology, Essilor intends to meet the growing demand for personalized lenses, by distributing high performance measurement tools across all market segments throughout the world.
The acquisition will also strengthen Essilor’s position in its domestic market, while maintaining its commitment to partnering the global deployment of innovative small and medium-sized companies in its sector.
