Material Sciences Corp. (MASC: Quote) reported net income for the third quarter was $2.2 million or $0.21 per share, compared to $3.7 million or $0.34 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the third quarter was $1.6 million or $0.15 per share, compared to $2.7 million or $0.25 per share in the prior year quarter.
Net sales for the third quarter declined 10.6% to $30.4 million from $34.0 million for the quarter period last year.
