The Dutch economy shrank at a pace of 0.4 percent sequentially in the fourth quarter, compared to the initial estimate of 0.2 percent drop, final data from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Friday.
Likewise, the annual fall in gross domestic product was revised to 1.2 percent from 0.9 percent. In 2012 as a whole, the economy contracted 1 percent, it said.
The budget deficit declined marginally to 4.1 percent of GDP in 2012 from 4.5 percent in the prior year, the statistical office said in a separate report. Meanwhile, government debt increased to 71.2 percent of GDP from 65.5 percent.
