Italy’s producer price inflation weakened for the sixth successive month in February, data released by statistical office Istat showed Friday.
The producer price index increased 0.3 percent on an annual basis in February, following the previous month’s 0.7 percent gain. The rate of growth eased for the sixth month in a row.
Prices of goods sold in the domestic market grew 0.5 percent annually, while prices of goods meant for the export market dropped by 0.1 percent.
On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.1 percent in February, reversing January’s 0.5 percent decrease, data showed.
