Fly Intel: Top five analyst upgrades

Catch up on today’s top five analyst upgrades with this list compiled by The Fly: 1. Williams-Sonoma (WSM) upgraded to Neutral from Underperform at BofA, with analyst Curtis Nagle saying the company reported a “strong” set of Q1 results and its earnings growth should hold longer than previously expected thanks to its competitive advantages around scale, supply chain, and ability to cross sell across four large and well-known brands. 2. Boeing (BA) upgraded to Outperform from Market Perform at Cowen, with analyst Cai von Rumohr saying “fast improving” air traffic is bolstering aircraft demand now that the U.S. has hit a 50% vaccination rate. 3. Stryker (SYK) upgraded to Outperform from In Line at Evercore ISI, with analyst Vijay Kumar saying there are “very few clean stories that have visibility” into fiscal 2022, and Stryker “fits this narrative.” 4. Nio (NIO) upgraded to Buy from Neutral at Citi, with analyst Jeff Chung saying he expects acceleration in Q2 order backlogs to “substantially increase” its second half of 2021 revenue visibility and market share, followed by a 2022 new model cycle. 5. Methanex (MEOH) upgraded to Outperform from Sector Perform at RBC Capital, with analyst Nelson Ng citing improved methanol price outlook since the start of the year and the forecast by IHS that while prices will soften through the second half of 2021, it will be at a more moderate rate.
