A collection of non-fungible tokens (%NFTs) launched by former U.S. President Donald Trump have sold out less than a week after they were launched.
According to data from %OpenSea, the collection of digital trading cards featuring a likeness of Trump sold out as the price of each NFT soared.
The price of a %TrumpNFT is now averaging $230 U.S., which is more than double the original price of $99 U.S. Some Trump NFTs are selling for much higher prices.
The most popular Trump NFT features the 45th President of the United States standing in front of the Statue of Liberty holding a torch. It is currently selling for $24,000 U.S.
According to data from Dune Analytics, nearly 13,000 users minted 3.5 tokens upon the release of the Trump NFT collection.
Additionally, 115 customers purchased 45 NFTs, which is the minimum number of tokens needed to guarantee a ticket to an in-person dinner with Trump.
The success of the Trump NFTs comes despite the broader market for non-fungible tokens crashing in recent months along with prices for cryptocurrencies.
