Baker Hughes reports U.S. rig count up 3 to 622 rigs

Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. Rig Count is up 3 from last week to 622 with oil rigs up 4 to 501, gas rigs down 1 to 117 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 4. The U.S. Rig Count is down 147 rigs from last year’s count of 769 with oil rigs down 109, gas rigs down 40 and miscellaneous up 2. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is up 2 to 22, up 8 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is up 13 from last week to 193, with oil rigs up 8 to 116 gas rigs up 4 to 76 and miscellaneous up 1. The Canada Rig Count is down 23 from last year’s count of 216, with oil rigs down 34, and gas rigs up 10 and miscellaneous up 1.
